Alexa Kelly

Recently, I embarked on a trip to help build homes for American War Veterans with Laurier’s Habitat for Humanity. This is a picture of my best friend and roommate, Victoria and I after a long days work in the Florida heat.

“The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.” ― Barack Obama

About Me

Hi! My name is Alexa Kelly, I am a third year Communication Studies student at Wilfrid Laurier University. I am very involved around campus. Since first year, I have been a general member in the Communications Student Association. In addition, I have been a Laurier Campus Ambassador as well as a Graphic Designer for Laurier Athletics & Recreation for the past 2 years. I love Laurier and I love sharing my passion for Laurier with others. The picture above was taken on a recent trip to Florida with 50 other Laurier students in helping build homes for war veterans with little to no income. This was in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity and Laurier’s Collegiate Challenge. I enjoy helping others achieve their goal; big or small. With that, the quote I chose is an accurate representation of how we as a society must set aside our differences and allow for improvement and to lend a helping hand. I am a huge advocate for helping others to make for overall, a better community.

My role as a digital editor is to…

I hope to be able to offer a sense of inspiration and creativity to the digital world. I want to share and collaborate with others as to what makes up the digital realm. In addition, I hope to accomplish the ability to apply my digital humanity skills into my everyday personal and work life. I think being a digital editor plays a huge contribution in today’s society.
