“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” -Nelson Mandela
My name is Emily Neeb and I am a fourth year Communication Studies student. I am set to graduate in April 2017, which is why I chose the Mandela quote. When I started here at Laurier, four years seemed pretty daunting and I never thought I could actually do it. But now, I’m about to graduate and looking back, it doesn’t seem impossible at all. I chose my family as what inspires me because I am the first of my family to go to university and I really believe that if I didn’t have my family behind me I wouldn’t be where I am today.
My role as a digital editor is to…
Collaborate and make work more accessible. The transcriptions that my peers and I have completed will make hard-to-decipher text readable and future patrons of the library may have a more accessible understanding of our past. Collaboration is also very important to the digital editor, as our work was completed as a group and therefore required collaboration skills to complete.
