“Life is like going the wrong way on a moving sidewalk. Walk and you stay put…stand still and you go backwards…to get ahead, you have to hustle.” – Casey Neistat
My name is Matthew Dayman, I am a 4th year Communications studies student at Wilfrid Laurier University, minoring in Film Studies and Global Studies, and completing the applied digital option. I am very interested in digital technologies, cameras, film making, video editing, photography, photo editing and video compositing. These interests all stem from my tastes for art, skateboarding, city culture, architecture, and my experiences in urban environments involving urban art, landscapes, and urban culture. The photo above was shot by one of my friends in their living room, where I am pictured drinking a beer while riding his bike indoors. I decided to incorporate it as it inspires me, and hopefully my colleagues, to multitask as much as possible every day!
My role as a digital editor is to exercise my knowledge of digital technologies and literature from communication studies to advance and assist my team to the best of my abilities in our transcription project.
